Stories have impact. When we use them in our business conversations, they make our messages clear and memorable. We are all great storytellers, but we can't be a one-story wonder. This podcast is designed to help you build your story collection.

Episode 117 - Purpose - Putting a man on the moon
What if a single sentence could define an entire culture?
When I was in school I heard a story about workers who were working at a construction site. A passerby curious about the work happening, asked the first worker “what are you doing here?”, the worker replied, “I am a labourer working in this site”. When the second worker was asked the same question, he answered, “I am a labourer working on building a building at this site”. The third worker's reply was different. He said, “I am building the best cathedral the world has ever seen”.
Today’s story is similar.
In the midst of one of history’s most ambitious missions, a leader stops to ask a seemingly simple question. The response? A statement so powerful that it reveals the true essence of purpose-driven work.
This isn’t just a story about space exploration—it’s a lesson in leadership, vision, and the power of storytelling to unite people toward a common goal.
As a business leader, ask yourself: does everyone in your organization see themselves as part of something bigger? Because when purpose fuels action, even the smallest role can leave an impact as vast as the stars.
Stay tuned for a story that will change the way you think about leadership and culture.
